NÉON. Paris, La Hune, January 1948 - March 1949. N'être rien Être tout Ouvrir l'être. 9 folio-sized fascicles (620 x 400 mm) - Double-folded leaves, in cardboard folder. First edition. Complete collection of 5 issues in 5 fascicles. One of 20 first copies for issues 1 (no. 14), 2 (no. 14), 3 (no. 14), 5 (unjustified); there was no deluxe edition for issue 4. For each of the deluxe copies, a copy of the ordinary print run is enclosed. Number 1 in large paper is complete with Scottie Wilson's original color stencil on a loose leaf. The first strictly Surrealist magazine published after the war, edited by La Hune, Néon combines contributions from the group's elders (Breton, Péret, Heine, etc.) with those of newcomers (Rodanski, Tarnaud, Duprey, Alexandrian, etc.) Reproductions of works by Ernst, Toyen, Brauner, Hérold, Matta, Styrsky, etc. The extremely rare, unsigned publisher's folder is by Lucienne Talheimer.
