Paris, Chez l'auteur, 1927: in-4 (282 x 222 mm) of [24] pp.-[16] pl.-[8] pp. - Bound in white vellum with smooth spine, olive and water green box bands on the first cover, geometrical pattern of gilt fillets on a box band on the first cover, geometrical pattern of gilt fillets on the second cover, gilt head, covers preserved (L. Thalheimer). Discreet restoration at foot of one spine.
First edition illustrated with 16 original hand-colored lithographs by Mourlot. The author had fun parodying the masters of modern painting by painting a typical portrait of each painter's fan, in the manner of the painter. One of 175 copies on Arches.
Rare art-deco binding signed by Lucienne Thalheimer, exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in 1930, as attested by a review in Comœdia, November 4, in which the bookbinder is described as "an artist of the most confident and seductive style.
