SOUPAULT Philippe. Autograph correspondence addressed to Lyd - Lot 148
SOUPAULT Philippe. Autograph correspondence addressed to Lydie Lachenal and Ken Ritter. 1969-1989: 78 signed letters, cards or autograph pieces, various formats, most with envelopes. Very abundant correspondence between Philippe Soupault and his last publishers, who republished most of his books, then out of print, but also published his Mémoires d'oubli, or the facsimile of the manuscript of Champs magnétiques. The first document is a carte blanche dated March 12, 1969, which ten years later led to the creation of the Ritter Lachenal publishing house: "I, the undersigned Philippe Soupault, hereby declare that I couldn't care less about my literary works or their republication. Therefore, in good logic and in law, I give my friend Lydie Maria Lachenal carte blanche to deal with any publisher she sees fit for the publication of all the works I have written or may have written before her death. I undertake to ratify the conditions she will make known to me; I will grant authorization to publish without delay".
